Here's what the author says of LCHF to the viewers of this website. "LCHF works. LCHF is easy. You'll never feel starved and you'll never have to exercise. You eat when you're hungry and stop eating when you're not. I've helped many friends find LCHF. I've helped many casual acquaintances find LCHF. It works for everyone. Almost every day I run into someone I've helped. I'm greeted with tales of lower weight and lower blood pressure. I'm greeted with tales of higher energy and higher libido. I'm greeted with smiles and thanks. These greetings make me feel pretty good. There is one common complaint though. These folks all complain about the need for new clothes. Everything they own is now too big." 

Qualifications of the author.

From Lose Weight with LCHF, the author says of himself, "I'm a complete composite of my parents. I gained mathematical, mechanical and logic skills from my father. I gained organizational, commonsense and love-of-life skills from my mother. I live life hard, loving, laughing and drinking more than most. I rarely worry, almost never lose my temper and truly enjoy the company of others. I'm a very bright, very outgoing, open minded man-child with no medical training. I can problem solve. I'm great with numbers and I know how to research. Does any of this qualify me to author a book about weight loss and improved health? Should you read what I have to say? Maybe not, but I promise to light up your logic and even entertain you."

How this book came to be written.

From Lose Weight with LCHF, the author says of writing this book, “When I began LCHF, I ate beef, pork, chicken and green vegetables. I ate 4 or 5 eggs every day. I cooked with bacon grease, butter and olive oil. Unsweetened whipping cream was soon my favorite additive. I no longer ate bread, pasta, rice, breakfast cereals, soft drinks, fruit juices or desserts. Whenever I was hungry, I satisfied my hunger with foods containing saturated fats. Pork chops, steaks and chicken wings. Bacon, eggs and cheese. Can you guess what happened? The answers might surprise you. I lost 30 pounds. I slept better. I had more energy. My blood pressure dropped. My blood chemistry improved. This thing worked! The results were so immediate and so surprising, I started to really dig into it. I researched deeper and deeper. I read eBooks, online articles, blogs, threads and forums. I was driving my friends crazy with conversations and emails extolling this style of eating. Several friends suggested I stop writing emails and begin writing a book. This book is the result of my continuing research and the wishes of my friends. A warning though, this is not a typical diet book.”

About the author.

The author, Eric Ahlswede, is a semi-retired U.S. expat living in Jomtien, Thailand. Born in 1955 in Racine, Wisconsin, Eric was G.I. Bill educated in Washington State and has a career background in international tax law and finance.
